Job Description

Summary: The Reading Support Teacher position is designed to provide small group services to students needing supplemental instruction in Reading and the Language Arts.Major Responsibilities:Provide instruction to small groups of studentsAssist with educational assessments such as DIBELS Implement and monitor student progress computerbased programs such as iReady Lexia Core and Read NaturallyMeet with supervisors and teachers for planning purposes Write progress notes and collect dataOther additional duties may be assigned without additional compensation or stipendRequired QualificationsBachelors DegreeMA Teacher Certification or Highly Qualified Strong background in multisensory structured language teachingBasic knowledge of instructional technologiesSuccessful prior teaching experience; 3 or more years preferred especially in reading or special educationPreferred Qualifications:Masters Degree Reading Specialist certification strongly preferred *Candidate must be flexible during pandemic times in order to support with remote and hybrid learning models Hours: typically 20 hours per week
