Shift Information

Fulltime roleMonday Friday 2pm10:30pm.

How will you make an impact:

As a Manufacturing Operator II at our manufacturing staging value stream you will play a vital role in the success of our Genetic Sciences Division (GSD) and Biosciences Division (BID). With a focus on quality and attention to detail you will be responsible for processing staging and delivering materials to other value streams. Your expertise will positively impact the production of highquality products ensuring that our customers receive reliable and accurate results.   • Maintain production schedule 48 Hours ahead of schedule dates.
  • Able to perform product inspections and verifying SKU LOT and QTY
  • Able to properly handle and process materials that are in temperature sensitive conditions in accordance with established standard operating procedures to ensure customers receive a product that meets or exceeds quality specifications (Ambient Cold Room 28 Freezer 20 and Ultra Cold 80.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot problems thoroughly.
  • Safely operate pallet jacks and can lift 35 lbs. independently and up to 70 lbs. with a team lift.
  • Able to work in normal to extreme conditions: Ambient Cold Room 28 Freezer 20 and Ultra Cold 80 Upright Freezer).
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with work groups to ensure the completion of daily production.
  • Satisfactorily complete ThermoFisher Scientific training requirements on time and operate within all ISO and FDA standards pertaining to Frederick Site Manufacturing
  • This position largely interacts with equivalent levels of internal personnel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position as errors in work could cause customers to receive a nonconforming product.
  • This position requires the individual to be ready to start work timely daily and maintain strong attendance performance.
  • Training will be provided through oneonone instruction following process specific onthejobtraining (OJTs) until the operator is proficient to work individually.
  • The incumbent normally receives general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignments.


Qualifications:

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 02 years related experience in manufacturing
  • Efficiency in this role also requires some knowledge of basic manufacturing principals as well as understand and interpret team metrics.
  • Proven track record to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures instructions and to meet schedule deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with changing priorities.
  • Basic digital literacy such as proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to support the operation in its daily functions.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $16.78$25.17.
