We are adding one grade level per year and will be serving students in 4K through 8th grade next school year. In the near future we will also be applying for expansion of our charter to serve students in high school beginning in the 2324 school year.

General Purpose: Plan organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages CCA students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

Main Job Tasks Duties and Responsibilities:

Execute a plan of instruction that adheres tothe schools philosophy goals and objectives as outlined in the adopted coursesof study.

• Review student records in order to develop afoundation of understanding regarding each students abilities and accurate and complete student records.

  Present subject matter to students to maximizelearning opportunity and give relevant applicationbased examples and learningopportunities.

  Make purposeful and appropriate lesson planswhich provide for effective teaching strategies and maximizes time on task.

  Frequently use diagnostic assessment of studentlearning.

  Refer students with suspected learning problemsto appropriate support personnel.

  Plan and facilitate class field trips oractivities (as required).

  Stay uptodate on subject matter knowledge andlearning theory.

  Provide a Classroom Environment Conducive toLearning

  Ensure that the classroom is clean and safe.

  Prepare required reports as requested by theschool administration

  Managestudent behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules andprocedures

  Maintaindiscipline following the directions and disciplinary systems of the school

  Participatein department and school meetings parent meetings and professional development

  Communicatenecessary information regularly to students colleagues and parents regardingstudent progress and student needs

  Adhere toCCA school policies and procedures

  Other duties as assigned by leadership or thatare required to fulfill the obligations of the position.

  Job Skills & Requirements:

  Bachelors degree in elementary education or related field.

  South Carolina State Certification

  Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in education or related field;
