Scientist Packaging Development

Role:

This is a research & development (R&D) packaging role providing the opportunity to drive innovation renovation productivity and maintenance projects across the North American refrigerated snacking category under the Meat Cheese Coffee and Snacking platform. The candidate will be responsible for effectively crafting and performing tests analyzing data presenting results crossfunctionally and commercializing pipeline opportunities to meet business initiatives. This position requires an individual to independently manage multiple assignments/tasks concurrently and demonstrate the ability complete work. Strong communication leadership and collaboration are essential in this role.

Key components of the role:

  • Lead packaging development and consistently deliver results on all project types e.g. NPD productivity operations and maintenance) from concept to commercialization

  • Act as the packaging lead and work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure timely across multiple projects

  • Simultaneously lead multiple projects with complex scopes demonstrating exceptional project management skills

  • Collaborate with technical authorities and leverage technologies and applications

  • Manage technical timelines effectively identify and communicate issues and risks and develop contingency plans

  • Conduct lab tests pilot plant trials and largescale factory trials to optimize packaging performance within manufacturing facilities

  • Write detailed specifications to ensure consistent highquality products

  • Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in Packaging Chemical Engineering Material Science or related fields

  • 24 years of experience in packaging development and commercialization

  • Indepth understanding of packaging material interactions and functionality

  • Exceptional teamwork skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment

  • Highly motivated problem solver with a drive to achieve objectives in a complex environment

  • Ability to plan and execute wellthoughtout design experiments anticipate next steps and adjust course when facing challenges

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Outstanding prioritization and project management abilities

  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new materials and processes rapidly

  • Willingness to travel up to 30

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$77800.00 $97300.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performancebased bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidates geographic region jobrelated knowledge skills and experience among other factors
