Summary Statement
Essential Functions

- Assists and/or instructs individuals in performing prescribed therapy treatments to improve their ability to perform daily living activities.
- Provides instruction in the use of therapeutic equipment.
- Observes and records an individuals progress in performing therapy activities.
- Participates in treatment team meetings to provide input in the development of an individuals treatment plan.
- Maintains records writes reports and requisitions supplies and materials.
- Ensures work area equipment and materials are clean.
- May plan and organize trips to encourage and increase an individuals living skills development.
Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS forTherapy Aide
Applicants must have education training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- Knowledge of conducting individual or group activities.
- Knowledge of working with persons with disabilities.
- Knowledge of applying laws rules regulations standards policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of data collection which includes collecting compiling and maintaining data from multiple sources such as files records databases customers staffor others.
- Knowledge of record keeping.

This is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a nonpension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits.

This position is a classification organized under anexclusive bargaining representative (labor organization) that has been electedby employees as their representative for collective bargaining and otherapplicable terms and conditions of employment in accordance with Title 29Chapter 59 and Title 19 Chapter 13 and position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement based onits individual terms.

Selection Process
