LOCATION:
Sacramento Area (This is a hybrid position requiring at least one day per week in office)
EMPLOYMENT STATUS:
Exempt; Regular; Full time.
SALARY RANGE:
$69030 $77555 yr. (Band 7/Step EG)
We base salary offers on program budget experience and an internal equity analysis. Therefore our offers are firm.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Executive Assistant completes a variety of administrative tasks and will be responsible for independently maintaining a high level of detail confidentiality volume and organization in a fastpaced environment as well as innovatively adding value to the Executive Unit.
This position reports to the Associate Director of Leadership and Board Development. This position will be responsible for independently maintaining a highlevel of detail confidentiality volume and organization in a fastpaced environment as well as innovatively adding value to the Disability Rights California Executive Unit. Must be located within 50 miles of the Sacramento Area.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide proactive assistance to the Executive Unit through the demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks of equal urgency/importance with varying and/or conflicting deadlines and work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
2. Develop/transcribe/format/proofread/edit documents correspondence forms and charts for complex projects utilizing Microsoft Suite MS Teams and Adobe Pro.
3. Book and manage travel for the CEO.
4. Create format convert and troubleshoot documents meeting DRCs accessibility standards.
5. Assist with all Board and Committee meeting arrangements. This includes but is not limited to setting up accessibility requests minute taking meeting support/hosting creating or supporting the development of committee meeting materials.
6. Handle all travel arrangements for Board members/Board meetings including but not limited to: coordination of transportation following up with vendors troubleshooting and/or managing lastminute changes; processing payment of services.
7. Occasional travel for meetings; work on some weekends and evenings may be required.
8. Manage reports to include but not limited to metrics rosters demographics and Board attendance.
9. With minimal oversight apply effective communication skills both written and verbal including the ability to manage difficult and complex situations patiently respectfully and tactfully.
10. Maintain filing systems including confidential files for the Executive Unit.
11. Provide project support as needed and other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
(Applicants MUST meet EACH of the minimum qualifications to be considered for an interview.
1. Bachelors degree in a related field.
2. At least six 3 years experience working with a Board of Directors including the taking of minutes and supporting meetings.
3. A minimum of five 5 verifiable recent years of experience as executive support including scheduling and travel management both in and out of state for director and executive level positions.
4. Expert Microsoft Suite skills; intermediate Adobe Pro skills; Advanced experience with MS Teams and Zoom.
5. Experience with the setting up and management of virtual meeting platforms.
6. Proofreading skills.
7. Effective communication skills including the ability to handle difficult calls and situations patiently and tactfully.
8. Experience working autonomously and performing detailed administrative work
9. Experience solving problems involving complex situations that present new challenges. Ability to maintain composure in stressful and changing situations and work well under pressure.
10. Handle tasks and responsibilities proactively while prioritizing and anticipating the needs of team members.
11. Work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain effective working relationships inside and outside the organization.
12. Experience working with persons with disabilities and multiethnic communities.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
(Applicants DO NOT have to meet any of the Desirable Qualifications to be considered for an interview.
1. Bilingual in Spanish Asian language(s) or American Sign Language.
2. Experience with Board Governance and Roberts Rules.
3. Knowledge of accessibility guideline requirements.
4. Experience managing a high volume of projects events and vendors; supporting multiple events of varying sizes at any one time.
5. Experience managing international travel.
6. Advanced Degree in a related field.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional Travel Required: Ability to travel occasional/y for activities such as outoftown meetings quarterly Board meetings events trainings or outreach activities no more than 25 of the time. Must work from the Sacramento office one or two times a week and more as needed.
