Paralegals work directly with our attorneys to assist them with ongoing cases and prepare them for trial if needed. In addition they conduct factfinding projects and are responsible for maintaining all case files. Our caseload is growing and the ideal candidate for this position is organized professional responsible and committed to helping us meet our clients needs. Perform secretarial clerical and data entry duties
Maintain attorneys calendar
Schedule depositions predepositions meetings meditations hearings
Document management using Microsoft Outlook Word Excel Adobe
Efile legal documents in Floridas EPortal System
Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions hearings trials and conferences;
Draft legal court documents such as pleadings motions affidavits and subpoenas
Send out correspondence to parties/nonparties via email regular mail or certified mail
Communicate with clients
Set up Court Call or Zoom for hearings
Perform additional duties as required by Practice Administrator/Practice Managing Attorney
Fulltime 8:00am to 5:00pm MF
2 years of litigation experience required
Experience with the discovery process
Experience efiling in both state and federal courts a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fastpaced environment
Ability to communicate with clients and coworkers effectively and efficiently
Possess excellent organization skills and be able to multitask and prioritize workload
Teamoriented
