Job Summary
West Kentucky Community & Technical College (WKCTC) recognized as a top 10 community college in the nation by The Aspen Institute five consecutive times and three times as a Finalist with Distinction invites applications for the position of Air Conditioning Technology Instructor. WKCTC is a comprehensive community college that provides excellence in teaching and learning promotes student success and supports economic development.
WKCTC is seeking an instructor to educate in both theory and hands on practices. Candidate will need a strong knowledge of HVAC electricity refrigeration heat load and duct design.
Job Duties:
Teaching responsibilities include classroom and campus laboratory instruction in the area of air conditioning technology. An Air Conditioning Technology Instructor teaches courses in basic HVAC electrical and electronics refrigeration heat load duct design heating and humidification cooling and humidification and commercial HVAC systems. Instruction will focus on incorporating handson training and assessments to prepare students for careers in the field. Maintaining a safe and wellequipped learning environment is essential. Course content must align with industry standards and workforce needs. Other responsibilities include division and college committee assignments student advising community service and professional development activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in Air Conditioning Technology or related field with 4 years of related work experience or bachelors in a related technical field and 2 years of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years teaching experience is preferred.
