Job Description

60 position with thepotentialfor 100

Education: Bachelors Degree in education social work counseling or related field.

Qualifications: Must have or be eligible for a North Dakota teaching license. Experience with coteaching and collaboration models. Experience working with students and families with diverse backgrounds. Working knowledge of MultiTiered Systems and Supports including evidence based academic interventions and supports. Experience working with teams to analyze data to make decisions and solve problems.

Job Goal: Work with school staff students and parents to provide high quality instruction that supports all learners in meeting rigorous standards.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Coplan and coteach with teachers EL teachers and special education teachers to provide highquality standardsbased instruction to students in grades K8.
  • Establish and monitor a continuum of evidence based interventions and supports.
  • Work with school staff to regularly examine and progress monitor data to make instructional decisions.
  • Work with school staff to ensure implementation fidelity of Tier I Tier II and Tier III interventions/supports and ensure high quality progress monitoring for students receiving these supports.
  • Communicate with families to support student success and facilitate a school/home partnership.
  • Communicate with support and train nonlicensed paras and tutors in evidence based interventions and assessment tools.
  • Facilitate and participate in problem solving meetings with teams.
  • Participate in buildingwide committees and leadership meetings.
  • Supervise students as needed.
  • Communicate collaborate and coordinate with teachers administrators families or community agencies and groups regarding program questions suggestions or concerns.
  • Review understand and implement the requirements of federal mandates and North Dakota Department of Public Instruction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally walk and stand. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; Maintain effective audio/visual discrimination and perception to the degree necessary for the successful performance of assigned duties; Maintain mental capacity allowing for effective interaction and communication with others.

Terms of Employment: 188 days contract


Evaluation: By the Principal at least twice each year in the first three years of service (December 15 & April 15 and at least once each year thereafter (April 15.
