About the Team

Coupang Media Group (CMG) is the ads division of Coupang. Our mission is to provide the best advertising solutions in the world for our clients. CMG is obsessed with optimizing the entire customer journey to provide great outcomes for shoppers and advertisers. CMG is looking for a seasoned product management leader to define and execute the strategy of the Product/Sponsored Ads product.

The Role

The senior leader on the team will be responsible for CMGs AI/ML prediction models that power ad rankings targeting bidding supply and demand optimization.The senior leader on the team will be responsible for CMGs AI/ML prediction models that power ad rankings targeting bidding supply and demand optimization. This team also owns all aspects of relevance personalization and optimization of the entire ads marketplace across all campaign types and creatives. Specifically the leader will drive the strategic direction and of initiatives thatresults in greater advertiser outcomes by improving return on their ad campaigns. The leader will use the latest advances in AI/ML to rethink traditional ad stack to deliver high quality experiences for our customers that were traditionally outside the realm of possibility. This leader will play a handson role with the potential of building out a team of product managers focusing on Ads ML stack.

Core responsibilities:

• Youll lead the initiative of improving Return on Advertising Spend for global advertisers. You will improve the quality as well as output of the bidding systems guiding advertisers on how they can improve returns on their advertising spend on Coupang Marketplace.
• Youll drive product definition strategy and longterm vision to address challenging problems while balancing advertiser user and Coupang value in a fast moving and constantly evolving environment.
• Youll own diving deep into ambiguous problem statements to identify the biggest bottlenecks define success and drive features that address the problem and unlock value.
• Youll lead the team thatbuilds measures and iterates rapidly by running datadriven experiments to inform product direction. Youll define product requirements and success criteria.
• Youll launch and improve ad products that surface highly relevant results for shoppers and improve return for advertisers.
• Youll effectively communicate collaborate and drive alignment with a variety of stakeholders including senior executives to ensure highly scalable and performance endtoend experience for advertisers and shoppers.

Qualifications:

• 12 years of experience in product management 5 years of leadership ideally growing earlystage products ideally in the ads domain
• Experience building 01 products and growing them with urgency in asustainable manner
• Building mature selfreliant and resilient teams and organizations that thrive on delivering difficult goals
• Experience managing and communicating effectively with executives and other stakeholders
• Experience working and influencing crossfunctionally and building relationships across teams including with people outside the direct reporting chain and senior executives
• Experience defining product roadmaps resourcing needs to achieve goals and effectively advocating for those
• Experience building and taking to market publisher facing products ideally in the advertising space

Preferred:

• Masters degree in an analytical or engineering discipline or MBA preferred
• Experience working in international environments and globally distributed team

Pay & Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang your base pay is one part of your total compensation.

The base pay for this position ranges from $207900/year in our lowest geographic market to $386100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending onjobrelated knowledge skills and experience.
