Job Description

First Quality was founded in 1989 and has grown to be a global privately held company with over 4000 employees. Its corporate offices are located in Great Neck New York with manufacturing facilities and offices in Pennsylvania South Carolina Georgia and Canada. First Quality is a diversified family of companies manufacturing consumer products ranging from Absorbent Hygiene (adult incontinence feminine care and baby care) Tissue (bath and towel) and Industrial (print and packaging materials) serving institutional and retail markets throughout the world. First Quality focuses on private label and branded product lines.

We are seeking a Payroll Analyst for our First Quality Enterprises located in Great Neck NY. The Payroll Analyst is responsible for accurate computing withholding and deductions associated with net earnings. Reviews the computation of pay and ensures the company payroll policies are in accordance with the government regulations. Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks. Organizes and reviews forms associated with federal state and local authorities such as W2s.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Transmission of multistate weekly and biweekly payrolls for multiple companies
  • Reconciles payroll each pay period for hours earnings and deductions
  • Provide information and answer employee questions about payroll related matters
  • Maintaining employee records
  • Coordinating with HR to ensure correct employee data
  • Assist with system maintenance: calendars bonus processing
  • Familiar with standard concepts practices and procedures within payroll changes in wage and tax laws
  • Provide reports to finance and other departments as necessary
  • Audits timekeeping records for compliance with established policies and procedures as necessary
  • Other duties as may be required

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience
  • Experience in payroll accounting and posting of weekly payroll journal entries
  • 35 years payroll and tax experience
  • Workday experience helpful but not required
  • Must have multistate payroll experience and solid grasp of payroll rules
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong team skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented

Estimated annual base salary range for this position is$.

Base pay is only part of our total compensation package which also includes an attractive annual discretionary bonus and robust suite of employee benefits for which you are eligible to participate in starting on your first day of employment.

Base pay offered will be determined on an individualized basis and we will consider your location experience and other jobrelated factors.
