Primary Purpose
Under direct supervision perform data entry including accounting personnel budget demographics or Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data; attendance; or grades into computer databases.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
- High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets databases and do word processing
- Proficient typing keyboarding file maintenance and 10key skills
- Ability to meet established deadlines
- Demonstrate proficiency in handling matters of highly confidential nature
- Ability to handle working conditions in a fast paced working environment
- Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with staff and other district personnel
- Must possess personal qualities related to respect for the rights and confidentiality of others
Experience
- Two years data entry experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Records and Reports
- Enters alphabetic numeric or symbolic data from source document using online computer terminal or personal computer.
- Keys and verifies results according to procedures provided.
- Recognizes and corrects errors in original data prior to processing.
- Recognizes deficiencies in source documents and returns them to originator for correction.
- Prints reports using database information including attendance reports class or personnel rosters endofsemester reports or accounting reports.
