About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over6700students and employs750employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis Minnesota. Our districtconsistsof one primary school for kindergarten students three elementary schools for grades 14 two middle schools for grades 58 and one high school for grades 912.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and providing specialized researchbased instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. Also responsible for evaluating and assessing student progress against instructional objectives and following state mandated due process procedures and functions. Start date:August 25 2025 (newtodistrict teacher orientation is August 19 and 20 2025

Contract: 186 days 2 newtodistrict orientation)
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in education and required teaching certificate in Special Education as required by the State of Minnesota specific content knowledge training or job experience required before appointment and successful student teaching. Dual licensure preferred but not required.
Assignments
Special education teachers work by district assignment and may be moved between buildings and/or programs based on student needs location of certain programs student count(s) and applicable licensure.
Salary & Benefits

Salary range listed $46417$98146 is based on the collective bargaining agreement forschool year and may increase once thecollective bargaining agreement is signed.Fulltime 1.0 FTE)certified staff benefits.
