TITLE: Summer FOOD SERVICE CASHIER
LENGTH OF WORK/GRADE ON SALARY SCHEDULE:
Salary Range: Grade B $16.20 (DOE)
EVALUATION:
Performance will be evaluated by the Food Service Manager.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Supervised by the Food Service Manager. Exercises no supervisory duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must successfully complete WINSNAP training and function as a sub cashier at various sites.
- Must have or be able to obtain a current Maricopa County food handlers certificate.
- Ability to work independently.
- Possess excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to operate a computer standard office machines and workrelated equipment.
- Ability to work cooperatively with administrators teachers and students.
- Ability to balance monies and reports.
- Ability to organize work to meet a time schedule.
Ability to walk stand bend stoop reach and lift up to 40 lbs.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to the following:
- Receives and deposits monies into student accounts gives correct change.
- Understands procedures and operates point of sale meal program software (WINSNAP).
- Balances and prepares daily deposit.
- Prepares daily and monthly reports of cash received and meals sold.
- Maintains accurate class lists and free/reduced verification lists.
- Operates WINSNAP POS or cash register during meal service.
- Assists with food preparation meal service and cleaning on a daily basis.
- Operate a computer standard office machines and workrelated equipment on a daily basis.
- Communicates to parents staff and students with respect and courtesy at all times.
- Organizes work to meet a time schedule and assist in catering duties.
- Possess a working knowledge of proper cooking and serving temperatures to ensure food is safe for consumption.
- Understands and applies safetyrelated precautions as outlined in MSDS.
- Work is neat and orderly.
- Operates as a team member of the kitchen at all times.
- Knowledge of proper response required by current school crisis plan.
- Lifts and moves items weighing up to 40 lbs. for example stock food items pushcarts and food cases.
Performs additional duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager.
