What Youll Do

As a Program Coordinator youll enhance the quality of life for customers with intellectual or developmental disabilities and support individuals who are receiving services in the family home. Some of the things youll be doing:

  • Collaborating with individuals receiving services their loved ones their support team and the family caregiver ensuring that services and support are provided in a way that respects and acknowledges an individuals selfexpression selfworth selfreliance and effective decisionmaking
  • Providing Individual Service and Support Plans and recommendations for team members and ensuring the safety wellbeing and satisfaction of people receiving services by providing training and mentoring to staff
  • Promoting highquality customer service internally and externally through communication collaboration and innovative thinking
  • Maintaining knowledge and understanding of PPCH and other regulating agencies policies procedures rules regulations and guidelines
  • Attending meetings and staffings as requested and working in the capacity of administrative or other staff as needed and much more

What Youll Need

  • A high school diploma or equivalent its required
  • To successfully complete the required training its provided
  • Minimum one year of experience working in the Colorado Developmental Disabilities System is required
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Officeor similar software is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills even when nontraditional communication is used
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work as part of a comprehensive team and represent PPCH in the community
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to think critically and problemsolve
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing duties from responding to crisis calls to administrative work
  • Current valid drivers license and the ability to meet PPCHs insurance requirements (This position requires travel within the Colorado Springs and Pueblo areas)


Bonus Pointsfor

  • College / University degree in related field is strongly preferred
  • Experience or background working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred

Must be agreeable to being oncall primarily phone support but may require inperson response


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Work is often performed in private homes or in the community using a laptop and / or mobile devices.

Some lifting or carrying of approximately 15 pounds and occasionally lifting moving or transferring up to 75 pounds is necessary. This position may occasionally involve physically assisting others including pushing or pulling individuals using wheelchairs.

Hourly Pay Range:$21.99 $25.29 (depending on experience)
