Position Summary
Installs best of class policies and procedures for the Intravenous Medication (IV) department in support of pharmacy managements goals and objectives. Acts independently to supervise IV and equipment management technicians. Facilitates routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening information processing and dispensing services for drug distribution systems.
What you will do
Guides daytoday operations for the pharmacy and IV department to support workflow production goals and deliverables.
Develops methods for IV operations to ensure the appropriate drug reaches the customer safely and efficiently.
Audits compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations.
Inspects all required IV documentation and maintains clinical monitoring.
Applies advanced pharmaceutical knowledge to assess orders for appropriateness of therapy elevated risk medications allergies and adverse interactions or outcomes.
Consults on IV therapy and management questions.
Guides junior colleagues through consultation and mentoring in techniques and processes and provides functional (matrix) supervision.
This is a full time position. Schedule will be Monday Friday between the hours of 8am 9pm. Weekend rotation is every third. There is no on call requirement.
Required Qualifications:
Active unrestricted Pharmacist licensure in Virginia
Preferred Qualifications:
LTC experience and IV therapy experience.
Education Requirements:
Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD)

The typical pay range for this role is:
$50.48 $84.62This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual fulltime salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience education geography and other relevant factors.
