Job Description
Pine Lake Prep a North Carolina A rated charter school is seeking a charismatic and innovative Upper School Chemistry Teacher (grades 912 who possesses a diverse skill set that will continue to strengthen our science program. Ideal candidates will be innovative creative and student centered.
Essential functions of teaching position include:
- Designing instruction appropriate for all students that reflects understanding of relevant content and is based on continuous appropriate timely high quality assessment.
- Creating a classroom environment of respect and rapport that fosters a positive climate for learning equity and excellence.
- This position includes AP Chemistry so a knowledge and understanding of the College Board and Advanced Placement courses is preferred.
- Fulfilling professional roles and responsibilities and adhering to legal and ethical requirements of the profession.
- Understanding the central concepts and tools of inquiry that make subject matter meaningful to students.
Candidates must hold a B.A./B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution or related field teaching and NC Certification in teaching in the appropriate subject area.
