A candidate for the Intermediate (Grades 3 and 5 teaching positions must be experienced and able to effectively instruct assess and support students in their academic and socialemotional growth. Qualified individuals will demonstrate a strong understanding of curriculum development classroom management and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
The ideal candidate will:- Support and uphold the philosophy values and teachings of a Catholic education and the mission of The Saints Academy.
- Plan and prepare lessons assignments instructional materials.
- Serve as a member of the Intermediate Grade Team and collaborate with fellow teachers to help all students meet goals.
- Establish classroom environment and practices that encourage and constantly strengthen a strong positive Catholic culture throughout the school.
- Set ambitious measurable and realistic goals for students.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students varying needs and interests.
- Monitor appropriate use and care of equipment textbooks materials and facilities.
- The teacher develops curriculum maps and instructional plans guided by the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks while also incorporating additional resources and approaches to meet student needs beyond the scope of the frameworks.
- Confer with parents and students regarding progress/challenges; arrange and participate in teacherparent or teacherstudent conferences whenever indicated for the welfare of the student.
- Fulfill all recordkeeping and other administrative duties in a timely manner.
- Attend and actively participates in staff/faculty family meetings etc. and provides input regarding the planning of instruction goals objectives and methods.
- Actively participate in professional development courses/classes offered to improve skill and knowledge.
- Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the principal (morning duty bulletin boards and Monthly Mass preparation etc).
