Would you like to build highly scalable and reliable systems How about working with customers and peers from the entire range of Amazons business to deliver cool new features Whether youre passionate about pioneering technology or a software developer who likes to solve business problems the Region Authority team is the place for you.
The Region Authority team owns foundational technology that enables the definition discovery and management of regional coverage areas through curated geographic boundaries. We own Tier1 services that efficiently index and discover available buyable offers based on a customers location across Amazons shopping experience. Our services process hundreds of thousands of requests per second at peak from our more than hundred clients.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
