Job Description
- Work in all schools across the district based on newcomer students language needs as identified by the English Learner Program Supervisor
- Work with students new to American schools
- Communicate and interact successfully with all staff and students
- Have basic computer skills including experience using Google Classroom and Google Translate
- Model and encourage the use of academic language in English
- Serve as a family liaison and communicate relevant information between the school and families
- Advocate for family needs and help connect to community resources
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the EL Supervisor Director of Assessment and Accountability or Superintendent of Schools
