Job Description
A hospital near La Crosse WI is seeking a fulltime Health Information Services (HIS) Associate to join their team!
Pay starts at $17.50/hour and increases with experience!
The Health Information Services Associate Opportunity:
- Fulltime directhire Health Information Services Associate
- Monday Friday 8:00 am 4:30 pm
- The Health Information Services Associate will perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties including scanning medical records into the electronic health record answering phones editing medical reports ordering department supplies and submitting birth certificates to the state of Wisconsin
- Handle the release of patient information in compliance with regulations while supporting overall Health Information Services operations as assigned
- The Health Information Services Associate releases health care information in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Applies knowledge of current legislation affecting confidentiality and release of information
Health Information Services Associate Qualifications:
- Extensive background in medical terminology basic anatomy and physiology preferred
- Associate Degree in Health Information Technology preferred but not required
