Job Description

Job Title: Cybersecurity Project Manager

Location: 100 Remote (USAbased)

Job Type: FullTime

About the Role

A forwardthinking U.S. based company is actively hiring an experienced and detailoriented Cyber Security Project Manager to lead coordinate and execute a range of cybersecurity projects across our organization. This fully remote position requires strong project management expertise an indepth understanding of cybersecurity practices and the ability to drive crossfunctional teams toward the successful delivery of initiatives aligned with business and security objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cybersecurity handson experience managing securityfocused projects and excellent communication and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan execute and manage multiple concurrent cybersecurity projects (e.g. security audits incident response planning risk assessments compliance initiatives vulnerability management).

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including IT security operations development compliance and thirdparty vendors.

  • Define project scopes goals deliverables timelines and resource needs.

  • Monitor and track project milestones deliverables and KPIs to ensure successful completion within scope time and budget.

  • Identify and manage project risks issues and dependencies and escalate as appropriate.


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology Cybersecurity Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5 years of professional experience in project management with at least 2 years in cybersecurity or IT security projects.

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts frameworks (NIST ISO 27001 CIS) and technologies (firewalls IDS/IPS IAM SIEM endpoint protection etc..

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and technical teams.

  • Exceptional organizational analytical and problemsolving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Jira Asana MS Project Trello Smartsheet).

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification.

  • CISSP CISM or other relevant cybersecurity certifications.

  • Experience with cloud security projects (AWS Azure GCP).

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Job Requirements: Open to candidates of all experience levels, from junior to seasoned professionals. Bachelor s or Master s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience. Strong understanding of network security, encryption, authentication, and access control. Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners. Hands-on experience with incident response, risk assessment, and forensic analysis is a plus. Good knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, etc.. Excellent spoken and written English communication skills. Nice to have: Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or OSCP.
