- Lead the development and implementation of an annual global social media strategy in line with CIFORICRAFs strategic objectives and major global events
- Design and execute creative targeted social media campaigns that support the organizations goals and initiatives
- Advise CIFORICRAF projects and programs on the development and optimization of digital products including social media toolkits interactive reports multimedia storytelling and campaign assets
- Explore and integrate the use of AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance content creation audience analysis and campaign optimization
2. Content Creation and Management
- Develop curate and create engaging content tailored for various social media platforms ensuring consistency with CIFORICRAFs brand and messaging guidelines
- Work closely with the design team to develop visually compelling and shareable content that enhances CIFORICRAF s digital footprint
- Manage and maintain the organizations global social media accounts including planning scheduling and posting regular updates
- Ensure content reflects CIFORICRAF s scientific work mission and key messages
3. Regional Team Support
- Oversee and support regional social media teams ensuring highquality outputs and alignment with global strategies
- Provide guidance resources and capacity building to strengthen regional teams social media presence
4. Monitoring Analysis and Reporting
- Monitor and analyze social media performance using relevant tools and metrics
- Provide monthly performance reports and additional reports on demand offering insights and recommendations for improvement

- Ensure effective delegation of tasks and provide professional development opportunities for team members

- Coordinate social media campaigns and collaborations across teams and departments
- Ensure timely and professional social media services for CIFORICRAF staff responding to requests and providing support as needed
- Supervise and guide social media team members fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment

- Contribute to science writing event coverage and other outreach activities as directed by the Head of Global Outreach and Engagement
Bachelor s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field Over 5 years of experience in social media management, preferably in an international or nonprofit organization Proven ability to develop and implement effective social media strategies and campaigns Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills Proficiency in social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social) Experience with paid social media advertising Creative mindset with a strong understanding of digital trends and AI tools
