Structural Project Manager


Job Overview: Our Louisville client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Structural Engineering Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive solutionsdriven individual to oversee and manage a variety of structural engineering projects across public and private sectors including government utilities healthcare education and more. In this role you will be responsible for managing multiple projects from start to finish ensuring they are completed on time within budget and in compliance with established engineering standards. You will lead crossfunctional teams working closely with engineers architects contractors and clients to drive project success.

This is a Direct Hire role.


What you will be doing as a Structural Project Manager
  • Oversee and manage multiple structural engineering projects including planning design coordination and construction phase services. Ensure successful delivery of all projects maintaining high standards for quality budget and schedule.
  • Perform structural analysis and design in accordance with industry standards and building codes. Provide engineering solutions that are both costeffective and technically sound.
  • Lead project teams by providing guidance and support throughout the lifecycle of the project. Foster a collaborative work environment and mentor junior engineers to help them grow professionally.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders (including clients architects and contractors) to define project goals requirements and deliverables. Resolve project issues and ensure alignment across all parties.
  • Develop maintain and manage project schedules and budgets. Ensure resources are allocated efficiently to meet deadlines and minimize costs.
  • Review project plans drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with design requirements. Monitor project progress identify risks and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
  • Provide ongoing construction support including responding to RFIs (Requests for Information) reviewing submittals conducting site visits and managing design revisions or changes.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships addressing concerns and ensuring high levels of satisfaction throughout the project.

Skills you ideally bring to the table as a Structural Project Manager
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Masters degree is a plus).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering with a proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects.
  • Deep understanding of structural engineering principles codes (e.g. IBC ASCE 7 ACI 318 AISC) and design standards.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software (e.g. RISA 3D or similar tools).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects from initiation to completion ensuring they meet deadlines and budget goals.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detailoriented with excellent problemsolving abilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
