Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction

Overview

American Civil Constructors West Coast established in 1987 is a Heavy Civil Construction company. We are qualified to bid and perform work for State DOTs and City & County Public Works agencies all over the United States.

We are currently hiring for a fulltime Project Manager to work out of our Benicia CA position will require working remotely as needed while projects are underway.

This is a FullTime yearround position with time split between office and field. Travel to projects both local and nationwide is required. This is a nonunion management level position and is part of the Operations Department.

• Scheduling; Tracking Production and Inventory
• Handling Subcontracts and Purchase Orders
• Coordinating & Supervising Varying Work Schedules (for Day/Night Work) and Crew Mobilizations from job to job
• Working Closely with Project Owners Prime Contractors Inspectors Field Engineers Field Superintendents and Subcontractors/Suppliers as needed to successfully complete our construction projects

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Structural Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management

• Wellqualified candidates will have 5 years working in project management for a heavy civil construction company with prior experience managing construction projects preferably involving bridge and/or pavement overlay related work but other types of experience will be considered

• Other Important Qualifications: Good organizational and time management skills employee managerial experience excellent computer skills including strong Microsoft Excel skills a willingness to continue learning and mentor younger engineers ability to work as a team great communication skills (both verbal and written) enthusiasm and the ability to multitask and coordinate/complete your projects successfully are all essential to this job. Primavera P6 is highly desired but not required. Valid drivers license 2 years
