Addison Community Schools is seeking an Athletic Trainer. The athletic trainer works under the direction of the Athletic Director and the Superintendent.
The athletic trainer will:
- Provide preventive care for studentathletes
- Evaluate injuries provide treatment and develop rehabilitation programs
- Assess treat and manage concussions
- Maintain accurate medical records of students injuries treatment and rehabilitation
- Review student health records and consent forms in partnership with the school nurse and athletic department to assess eligibility
- Maintain a clean professional and welcoming training room
- Manage inventory
- Prepare game sites for practice and competition
- Prepare medical kits for off campus competition
- Provide practice and game coverage of the middle school and high school athletic programs
- Train coaches and educate parents about preventive safety precautions regarding concussion cardiac arrest and heat illness
Administer baseline concussion testing
