Position Description:
1. Providing services to identified language speech and communication disordered students.
2. To complete assessments develop education plans and implement instructional programs.
3. To participate in staffings and IEP meetings.
4. To maintain and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) on all children in the program.
5. To order and maintain equipment supplies and materials for the programs.
perform other tasks as assigned.
Special Requirements: (Certification training specialty skills or previous experience)
1. Valid Oregon certificate/license appropriate to the assignment.
2. Prefer public school experience as a speechlanguage pathologist.
3. Prefer Masters degree in language and speech pathology with Certificate of Clinical Competence.
4. Able to diagnose language speech and/or hearing disorders.
5. Able to recommend to parents the referring of children needing to see a specialist/agencies for diagnosis and treatment of speech/language and/or hearing problems beyond the scope of the school program.
6. Individual that is bilingual and has an understanding of second language acquisition is preferred.
