Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance team! We are looking for entrepreneurial analytical creative flexible leaders to help us redefine the IT industry. If you want to join a fastpaced innovative team responsible for optimizing the financial performance of a diverse business portfolio this is the place for you!
In this role youll be at the center of driving AWSs sales strategy partnering directly with the Worldwide Specialist Sales Organization to gain a competitive edge. Youll lead a Finance team and collaborate with senior Sales Business Development Engineering and Finance leaders to build financial plans inspect performance at scale analyze largescale investment opportunities develop new gotomarket strategies and identify opportunities for business growth. You will play key roles in both running the daytoday business and helping drive strategic growth for the future.
You are a wellrounded performer and will play an impactful role on the team. Youll excel at hiring leading and developing a team of Finance professionals managing multiple work streams on tight deadlines and partnering with a wide range of business partners and functions. You demonstrate excellent business judgment and problem solving and possess strong attention to detail.
Key job responsibilities
Provide nextlevel leadership and contribute meaningful insights to executive decision making by driving rigorous analysis thoughtful prioritization and longterm thinking.
Formulate investment models that will provide meaningful impact on the business decision making.
Provide insight into key AWS customer segments by collaborating with external and internal stakeholders.
Work across sales teams to ensure transparent use of resources and collaborate on ways to drive both increased productivity and speed of innovation.
Create and cultivate the financial discipline to ensure delivery of goals (e.g. budgets productivity) and adherence to policy and controls.
Lead and develop a team of 46 finance professionals.
12 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelors degree in finance accounting or related field
5 years of hiring leading and developing teams experience
8 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
8 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
8 years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
5 years of working with senior staff (e.g. csuite) experience
MBA or CPA
3 years of performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools experience
10 years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience
8 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
8 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decisionmaking experience
8 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
7 years of directly managing and leading a team of 10 members experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
