IMEG is growing and wed love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in our Los Angeles or Ontario CA office. As a Senior Structural Engineer you will be responsible for assisting the Client Executive in managing the Team by developing and maintaining client relationships. A Project Executive must have demonstrated a high level of proficiency of managing large projects within one or more markets. They have a strong focus on one or more markets and has established a reputation within IMEG and with their clients as being an expert. A Project Executive is someone that has developed a focus toward a market and achieved a high level of success in developing and maintaining relationships with desired clients.
Principal Responsibilities
Coordinate oversee and manage projects ranging in size and complexity; Serve as thepoint of contact for teams and clients
Collaborate with business development staff Project Executives Client Executives andMarket Directors/Leaders during the initial stages of project opportunities
Assist Project Executives and Client Executives with design scopes of work and feecalculations for proposal generation as well as with contract reviews
Create project schedules including targets for milestones and deadlines
Create monthly billings and submit financial information to Accounting in a timelymanner; Update billing projections and estimated completion percentage for all projectsmonthly
Ensure design follows owner standards and requirements IMEG standards and coderequirements; Ensure design milestone deliverables are achieved IMEG and clientquality control processes are completed and construction technical support occurs in atimely manner
Collaborate with design staff and coordinate scheduling of projects during all phases ofdesign and construction; Schedule and lead progress meetings and provide meetingdocumentation.
Participate in project interviews and project presentations
Respond to and resolve client/construction concerns. Manage change orders and obtainappropriate approvals
Train mentor and motivate staff
Build maintain and develop client relationships
Required Skills/Abilities
Demonstrated leadership traits in the Project Management career path
Adept in the technical aspects of ones discipline
Ability to mentor train motivate and lead others
Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
Ability to sell work and develop client relationships
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in bothoral and written communication to individuals or groups
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrate effective teambuilding skills
Attention to detail and problemsolving skills
Eagerness to adapt to new challenges
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word Excel and Outlook
Ability to travel up to 20 with occasional overnight stays
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Structural or Architectural Engineering orequivalent required
Masters Degree (MS) in Structural Engineering preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) License required
Structural Engineer (SE) License and/or passed the Structural Engineer (SE) Examrequired
10 years of experience minimum required 12 preferred in the building designconsulting industry
State of California Salary Range $155000.00 to $185000.00 . Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
