Join Amazons Global Logistics team to pioneer groundbreaking machine learning solutions that revolutionize supply chain security. In this role youll develop innovative detection and mitigation models that protect assets and transform industry standards. This unique opportunity combines advanced analytics with realworld impact allowing you to apply expertise in supervised learning object detection geospatial modeling and generative AI to solve complex challenges in transportation security.
Key job responsibilities
Design and implement endtoend fraud detection and prevention models from concept to production
Create innovative machine learning solutions using advanced techniques in object detection and pattern recognition
Transform complex business challenges into actionable data science solutions through stakeholder collaboration
Drive strategic decisionmaking by communicating technical concepts to leadership effectively
Mentor fellow data scientists and contribute to knowledge sharing within the broader scientific community
A day in the life
As a Senior Data Scientist youll start your day collaborating with crossfunctional teams to identify security challenges in our transportation network. Your time will be split between conducting exploratory data analysis (EDA) finetuning models and presenting findings to stakeholders. Youll have opportunities to push boundaries in applying cuttingedge AI techniques to realworld logistics challenges while also sharing your knowledge with team members through mentoring and knowledgesharing sessions.

Youll be part of a dynamic research and data science team supporting Global Logistics transportation business across North America. The team focuses on developing innovative solutions to enhance transportation efficiency including pricing optimization cost management delivery scheduling and security improvements. 4 years of data scientist experience
5 years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL) scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R SAS Matlab etc. experience
Knowledge of AWS tech stack (e.g. AWS Redshift S3 EC2 Glue)
Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regression
Experience working with scientists economists software developers or product managers
Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team
Experience working in the supply chain industry

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
