Job Description

At Amazons Security & Compliance Engineering Tech team were revolutionizing how the company adheres to industry regulations and reduces security risks. Were seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to join our mission of building scalable solutions that streamline Security Assessment enhance builder experiences and safeguard data across Amazons vast ecosystem. Key job responsibilities

The position is a Software Development engineering role and the responsibilities will focus on all aspects of software development. The candidate should be proficient in independent endtoend problemsolving within these areas.

* Help define architectures own and implement specific components and help shape the overall user experience
* Collaborate closely with Product Managers Frontend Engineer and generalist Software Development Engineers on the same team to help deliver the product.
* Contribute to planning design implementation testing operations and process improvement as a member of an autonomous team.
* Take responsibility for technical problemsolving creatively meeting product goals and developing best practices.
* Write highquality efficient testable code
* Mentor and support the growth of other developers.

Required Tech Skills

Programming Languages: Java TypeScript
API Development: RESTful API GraphQL
Databases:
Relational: MySQL PostgreSQL
NoSQL: DynamoDB
Database schema design and optimization
Cloud and Serverless: AWS Lambda ECS Fargate
Version Control: Git
Testing: Unit testing integration testing
Debugging techniques
Problemsolving and analytical skills
Communication and collaboration skills

About the team
Security & Compliance engineering tech (SCET) builds solutions at Amazon scale to 1 ensure Amazon systems/services across SDO adhere to relevant industry/government regulations and reduce security risk exposure 2 reduce compliance audit burden on development teams and assessment teams 3 improve builder experience and reduce security risk by removing ambiguity w.r.t data classification & data handling and bring in consistency across Amazon and 4 reduce the risk with third party data sharing relationships.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
