Do you thrive in a leadership role Or maybe looking to take the next step in career Join our Omnicare closeddoor pharmacy as a Lead Pharmacy Technician in our Back End department and help us deliver best customer support to our longterm care assisted living and chronic care customers.

Day In The Life:

As a Lead Pharmacy Technician you will work to lead and support the backend pharmacy technician team by ensuring proper preparation of medications to be dispensed by the pharmacist team. Our backend team focuses on order fulfillment including packaging and dispensing of medication reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy and coordinating stock rotations. Additional tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Leading and assisting PrePack Picking Staging Automated Dispensing Purchasing Inventory Returns/Credits and Delivery departments toward their primary objectives
  • Providing regular and timely feedback on pharmacy technician performance
  • Partnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as needed
  • Assisting in orientation training and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies procedures state and federal laws

The Team:

Omnicare a CVS Health Company provides care to those in skilled nursing facilities assisted living communities and chronic care settings.
Although Omnicare pharmacies are not open to the public youll work amongst great colleagues in a supportive environment aligned with the companys mission allowing our customers to focus on giving their patients the best care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
  • One 1 or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional Skills/Experience but not Required:

  • Prior experience in the longterm care industry
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy retail medical or customer service setting
  • PTCB National Certification

Education:

  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$18.50 $35.29

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual fulltime salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience education geography and other relevant factors.
