Job Description
Amazons Exports & Expansions legal team is looking for a talented attorney to support our dynamic exports and stores expansion business teams. This is a unique opportunity to support crossborder business models and work crossfunctionally with retail marketplace operations advertising payments trademark and employment teams.
Key job responsibilities
Support strategic projects and agreements as well as new and mature technologydriven offerings counsel business and product development teams on a wide range of matters and work with other members of the legal department locally and internationally to ensure that relevant legal and regulatory requirements and risks are understood and managed. You will also provide daytoday advice to business teams analyze and resolve issues that arise and handle prelitigation legal disputes and inquiries.
A day in the life
You must be inquisitive enthusiastic about technology enjoy working hard and being continually challenged in a fastpaced environment that is constantly changing. You will be expected to work independently and to contribute successfully to crossfunctional teams all while demonstrating sound judgement even in ambiguous situations. A sense of humor and a desire to learn and be curious are essential. The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing is also essential.
5 years of legal experience
Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
3 years experience in a national or international law firm
Inhouse experience is a plus
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations
Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to crossfunctional teams
Excellent organizational skills ability to manage multiple projects at once follow through and meet deadlines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
