About the role
Join our dedicated team at Leicestershire County Council as we strive to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children in our community. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual for the permanent position of Team Manager Coalville / Loughborough
We are seeking a Social Work Team Manager with current Social Work England registration with extensive social work experience in a child protection statutory setting. Preferably with some management experience.
You will provide leadership to your team who will consist of a senior practitioner 4 social workers support and assessment workers (who undertake parenting assessments) and 2 support staff (who supervise contact) You will be responsible for allocating and prioritising workloads effectively to ensure the care of the child is paramount whilst also ensuring you develop your team to provide an effective and efficient service.
The right candidate will have responsibility for the whole team and will be expected to meet objectives and ensure performance targets are achieved.
Childrens safeguarding teams complete work with children who are subject to child protection plans and Public Law Outline/initial care proceedings.
Utilising a relationship/traumabased approach where the young person is at the heart of everything we do.
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
