Position Summary
Manito Ikwe Kagiikwe (MIK) supports women and children affected by systemic marginalization and substance use who have complex health and social needs. Functioning as part of a coordinated service delivery team the Outreach Worker works proactively with new and existing clients offering a range of support and recovery services within an existing service plan and on an asneeded basis. The Outreach Worker is a relationshipbuilder and advocate and provides service in a nonjudgmental and culturally appropriate manner helping clients to build new skills and achieve their goals
Qualifications
Education
Must have a Valid Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle.
Service Delivery Skills Expertise and Experience
Minimum of 2 years experience working in community preferably with program target population
Experience providing outreach with hard to reach populations
Critical Skills
Proven knowledge and ability in critical thinking decisionmaking problemsolving and conflictresolution skills
Focus on Results
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and focus workrelated activities to effectively and efficiently achieve service goals and produce expected results/outcomes

Assets
PostSecondary Education in a Social Services field
