Job Description
School of the Incarnation is seeking qualified candidates for a fulltime middle school resource teacher for theschool year and beyond. This teacher is part of the St. Ignatius Program (SIP) and would be responsible for support and intervention to students in grades 68. As part of SIP this teacher is also a member of the Student Support Team and would act as a case manager for individual students within the program. This teacher is also expected to foster a faithfilled Catholic learning environment that recognizes the dignity of each person while having the skill and expertise to align plan and implement instruction according to the Archdiocesan curriculum.
Essential Functions:
- Provide services for SIP students as assigned by resource coordinator
- Serves as case manager/provides services for assigned St. Ignatius Program students
- Attend SST/county meetings as needed
- Meet regularly with Resource Coordinator to report on student progress
- Attend SST meetings as applicable and reports about student progress
- Assist the Resource Coordinator in the review and organization of student plans
- Provide testing accommodations for identified students outside the classroom
- Monitor grades/assignments of assigned students regularly collaborating with teachers and/or communicating with students and parents as needed
- Collaborate with teachers in providing support/services to students in and out of the classroom
- Provide ODI (Organizational Drop In) services to middle school students
- Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications:
- Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the school
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in education with a concentration in special education
- Current MSDE certification with special education endorsement.
- 4 years of experience in related field with growing level of responsibility
- Strong organizational and communication skill
Range: $46000 $90000. Annualized
