Allied Health Assistant (Speech Pathology) Port Macquarie
Are you a student Speech Pathologist looking for an incredible opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities CPAs Port Macquarie Clinic are looking for an aspiring speech pathology student to support the team and gain hands on experience alongside their studies.

About The Team
At Port Macquarie we have 9 therapists in all three major disciplines (Speech OT and Physio) giving everyone the opportunity to learn and grow within a multidisciplinary team. We have a mindset of continuous improvement and community engagement/support and our selfidentified team values are: Kind supportive trusting and agile.
Working in a regional area also provides opportunity for rapid career development; young therapists will have the opportunity to work with a huge breadth of diagnoses ages and disability types custom moulded seating hightech AAC early intervention and complex mealtime management allowing you to grow much more quickly than you might in other locations. Our caseload at Port Macquarie is very diverse with about 75 clients with CP and 25 other disabilities (ASD GDD etc with a fairly even spread of paediatric and adult clients.
The clinic is exceptionally wellresourced with 4 specialist treatment rooms Pool cars ceiling hoists eyegaze technology magic carpet huge selection of toys full switch kit (environmental access) wheelchair scale etc. Whilst the majority of your clients will be seen in the clinic (about 75 we also visit some clients in their homes or community settings. We work on a regional outreach model meaning we service large community hubs in clustered blocks. The frequency of our visits varies but we will service clients across Port Macquarie/Wauchope Taree Forster Kempsey and Coffs Harbour.
Port Macquarie is a major regional hub you can get the flavour of a rural environment whilst still having with access to all major resources (hospitals doctors dentists tradies lawyers accountants car yards etc lower property costs compared to other coastal towns and almost no traffic/commute challenges.
