The Department of Aerospace Engineering College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for one or more full time or part time tenuretrack or tenured faculty positions with a 9month academic appointment with the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon need and availability of funds beginning Fall 2025. Applicants will be considered at the level of assistant professor. Associate and full professors will be considered in exceptional cases.
Candidates will be considered in two broad areas:
1 Urban air mobility and UAVs. While applications from all related areas will be considered the department is particularly interested in candidates with a strong record in experimental work aerodynamics and propulsion.
2 Reacting flows. While applications from all related areas will be considered the department is particularly interested in candidates with a strong record on experimental work.
The successful applicants will be required to teach; advise and mentor graduate students; develop an independent externally funded research program at the forefront of aerospace engineering and sciences; participate in all aspects of the departments activities; and serve the profession. Applicants should consult the departments website to review our academic and research programs in particular our experimental lowspeed wind tunnels.
Applicants must have an earned doctorate in aerospace engineering or a closely related science discipline.
