Providesdirectconstantand uninterrupted swimming pool andpatronsurveillance to the assigned zone of coverage.
Recognizesrespondstoandprovides necessary emergency care within limits of training and the FacilityEmergency Action Plan (FEAP)to persons in distress in the pool and facility.This includesadministeringCPR emergency oxygen andthe use ofan AED to protect and/or preserve life.
Enforces facility rulesregulationsand the patron code of conduct in a calm and professional manner.
Participates in a minimum offour 4hours of continuing education/inservice training each month.
Reports all rescues accidents incidents to the Manager onDuty as soon as possible; completesaccuratereportsin a timely manner.
Performs daily safety inspections of pool facilities to ensure a safe and comfortable environment forpatrons.
Performs shiftbased cleaning and basic maintenance of pool facilities.
Participates in a variety of drills and audits to ensure compliance with Facility andStarguardElite standards.
Utilizes effective written andverbalcommunication techniques to communicate with Town of Parker staff management and the public in a positive and professional manner.
Performs otherrelatedduties as assigned.
The requirements listed below are representative of the education experiencecertificationand/or licensure. An equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential duties and meet the necessary employment standards may be considered.
Must beat least sixteen 16years ofage.Requires the abilityto swim and effectively complete a variety of inwater maneuvers during a preemployment screening.
Possession of or the ability to obtain aStarguardElite Lifeguarding Certification or equivalent lifeguarding certification Basic Life Support and First Aid Certificationor anequivalentinhouse course withinthirty 30days of hire.
