Position Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated pharmacist to join our Clinical Pharmacy team as a Supervisor. The Supervisor Clinical Pharmacy role works within the broader clinical pharmacy department and will focus on providing and leading policy maintenance and development as well as formulary management. Our organization has business that spans multiple states and lines from commercial to health care exchange Medicare and Managed Medicaid and we offer and manage both medical and pharmacy benefits. We are seeking a leader who can lead primary managed care functions within a health plan. To support this Supervisor are other pharmacy stakeholders including industry relations drug information pharmacist(s) clinical pharmacists and pharmacy benefits and operations. The Supervisor role is also responsible for overseeing the daytoday performance of select Moda Clinical Pharmacist staff who perform this work. Pay Range
$128858.77 $164296.49 annually (depending on experience)
*Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range.

Required Skills Experience & Education:
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D. preferred or Bachelors of Pharmacy degree.
- Valid Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in the State of Oregon or ability to become licensed within three months of employment.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Two to three years managed care experience. Training from an accredited managed care residency preferred.
- Strong clinical acumen with working knowledge of numerous disease states and conditions and their therapeutic management.
- Advanced competency in medical literature evaluation and principles of evidencebased medicine policy development and formulary management.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills and an ability to work with large data sets as needed.
- Ability to work well under pressure with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams healthcare providers and external stakeholders.
- Capable of taking initiative leading project teams and implementing and maintaining clinical programs.
- Demonstrate a commitment to service organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and project a professional business image.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments across the Moda organization.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate crossfunctionally with various stakeholders.
- Ability to attend regular meetings inperson as needed (if hybrid).
Primary Functions:
- Lead a team of pharmacists. Responsible for the daytoday supervision of clinical pharmacy personnel including ongoing performance feedback and professional development.
- Lead and provide oversight to the development and maintenance of drug and drug class monographs to support formulary decision making.
- Bring continuity and oversight to our Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) committee and the multiple stakeholders who are contributing to this body of work.
- Lead and provide oversight to policy maintenance and development of new FDA approvals and expanded indications of currently available therapies and their respective therapeutic classes.
- Develops and implement clinical utilization criteria for new market entries and market updates utilizing evidencebased medicine principles.
- Lead or be the clinical pharmacy subject matter expert to various committees including Medical Necessity Committee and Regulatory/Compliance workgroups ensuring compliance with state legislative requirements Board of Pharmacy standards and federal regulations related to pharmacy program management and services providing oversight and supporting adherence to these guidelines within the team.
- Provide direction and oversight to various policy and formulary analysis projects.
- Provide clinical and organizational mentoring including proper training for new and existing clinical pharmacy staff.
- Acts as a clinical leader across all operational units to ensure clinically appropriate of formulary and utilization management strategies.
- Collaborate with other pharmacy team leaders and external department leaders to promote efficient and consistent workflow expectations and improvements.
- Serves as a primary resource and subjectmatter expert pertaining to medical necessity criteria (i.e. policy) and formulary management.
- Reviews updates and maintains policies and procedures related to clinical pharmacy services.
- Deliver concise applicable comprehensive and timely responses to requests for drug information from members client plans providers and Company health care teams.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions &Contact with Others- Office environment with extensive close PC and keyboard work constant sitting and phone work. Must be able to navigate multiple screens. Work in excess of 40 hours per week including evenings and occasional weekends to meet business needs.
