Job Details:

Mercer University School of Medicine is searching for a Nurse Manager for the Crisis Service Diagnostic Center in Macon GA .


Responsibilities:

The Nurse Manager will serve as the lead nurse assisting with the planning and implementing services within the outpatient CSDC of Macon Georgia. This leader will assist with developing center policies and procedures for clinical care select and implement and EMR system and recruit and onboard essential clinical staff. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for evaluating the performance of outpatient support staff and nurses providing feedback and mentoring developing education programs and contributing to staff development. The role will also require assisting with developing department budgets and evaluating/maintaining inventory of medicines equipment and supplies. The nurse manager services as a facility representative and promotes the best interests of the staff and the patients who receive care at the outpatient diagnostic center.

Qualifications:

A Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN) and five years of clinical nursing management experience with at least three years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Candidates must have an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with licensure in the state of Georgia and a valid CPR certification. Additionally candidates with certification/license in a healthcare related field (Nursing LPN CMA Echocardiography etc. with current license in Georgia or eligible for Georgia licensure are highly desired.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations quality improvement processes and patient safety initiatives.

  • Ability to provide leadership especially in nursing care methods and procedures.

  • Knowledge of HIPPA laws.

  • Proficient in medical terminology.

  • Ability to handle and resolve conflicts effectively.

  • Excellent communication organizational ad leadership skills.

  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities.
