Job Summary/Description:
WBAYTV seeks a News Photojournalist to integrate written video and audio content into stories for Action 2 News newscasts as well as for wbay and station social media sites. This person will and edit videos and interviews for use in newscasts as well as operate TVU backpacks and live trucks for live shots.
Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited) to the following:
Shooting editing and posting videos for newscasts websites mobile apps and social media accounts.
Editing videos images and interviews to match scripts for use in newscasts.
Ability to video with phone or camera as needed.
A deep understanding of how to engage users on social media as well as social listening techniques to discover stories.
Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience working at a television station with a strong news department or a digital multiplatform news operation
Excellent conversational writing and communication skills
Experience in web and graphic design software digital publishing applications and multimedia production software
Experience with digital content management systems and Edius Video Editing
