Youll play a key role in production planning helping forecast workloads allocate resources and streamline workflows to ensure timely and efficient output. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Learn and build rapport with departments.
- Handle materials and ensure proper storage of instruments in the warehouse according to set practices.
- Run and read reports.
- Understand and process work orders for production.
- Prepare components for production shop work orders ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process completed work in the production shop ensuring quality and readiness for the next steps.
- Prepare returned rentals (showroom cage and returns) for restocking or processing.
- Ensure proper instrument storage and maintain accurate location tracking of all items.
- Perform naked instrument putaway into containers ensuring proper handling and organization.
- Support rental program operations including deoutfitting and outfitting of instruments.
- Print labels and manage inventory transfers in Cynergi for accurate stock tracking.
- Conduct basic rental bow triage to ensure condition and readiness for use.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of instruments parts and supplies.
- Use NetSuite for inventory lookups and bin transfers.
- Maintain both finished and naked instrument stock.
- Perform regular physical counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Demonstrate basic instrument knowledge including construction and terminology.
- Conduct basic inspection and evaluation of instruments for quality assurance.
- Maintain and develop positive business relationships with key customer personnel involved in logistics activities.
- Evaluate forecasts for retail and school orders to schedule technician workload aligned with customer demand and capacity.
- Monitor internal and external deadlines and alert supervisors to any roadblocks.
- Notify supervisor if outfitting falls behind and coordinate technician assistance.
- Pull rental supplies from the warehouse as needed.
- Assist with postproduction quality checks.
- Assist with basic troubleshooting of inventory issues.
- Help maintain technician work schedules.
- Ensure all instruments meet quality and craftsmanship standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient production.
- Adhere to performance metrics for output and accuracy.
- All other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management logistics or a related field preferred; equivalent years of relevant experience will also be considered.
- Passion for music and some experience with musical instruments preferred.
- Intermediate computer literacy including proficiency in using CRM systems email and other relevant software applications.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Team player with a positive attitude adaptability and willingness to collaborate and learn from others.
