Job Description
Position Description:
The individual accepting this assignment will teach Bilingual Social Studies in a 6ththrough 8thgrade middle school.
Special Requirements: (Certification training specialty skills or previous experience)
1. Valid Oregon teaching license appropriate to the assignment with a social studies endorsement required.
2. Knowledge of social/emotional needs of middle school students and ability to work well with students and peers.
3. Use of a variety of learning and instructional models.
4. Interest in being involved with the total school community.
5. Knowledge of and experience with technology and with alternative assessment strategies.
6. Personal attributes: Possession of a good sense of humor willingness to work hard demonstrated rapport with students high energy level and possession of sound organizational skills and practices.
7. Bilingual (Spanish).
This position is 1.0 FTE.
Start date:8/25/2025
New staff orientation will be held 8/19/20258/20/2025 and will be paid in addition to contract days.
