More about us: Operator III is responsible for manufacturing quality product according to the work order or other build signal while adhering to defined work instructions. General duties may include picking assembling and packaging. Machine setup and equipment operation may be required. This position is part of the Powders department located in Ames IA and will be working onsite.
This is a second shift position with the following schedule MondayThursday 3:15PM1:45AM. Overtime may be required.
In this role a typical day will look like:
- Maintain quality of products produced according to department standards and visual or dimensional specifications.
- Comply with company safety policies including safe operation of equipment PPE usage hand tool safety lockouttagout and proper storage of tools etc. Comply with good housekeeping policies.
- Meet productivity standards and communicate effectively when obstacles occur.
- May assist with training of new associates.
- Interface with other departments as needed
- Other duties throughout the facility as assigned
The essential requirements of the job include:
- HS diploma/GED or equivalent required.
- Six months production experience required.
- Six months mechanical experience or equivalent required

The employee must frequently lift carry push or pull up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift carry push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job the employee may be subjected to moving mechanical parts electrical currents vibrations fumes odors dusts gases chemicals oils extreme temperatures and workspace restrictions.
The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
Employees will be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which may include: eye hearing and respiratory protection protective smock steel toe shoes gloves hard hats or face shields. Contact lenses are not allowed.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associates position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements sales or revenuebased metrics any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $23.00 $23.00 USD per hour.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
