Federal Work Study Student Assistant
The Curriculum and Academic Policy area of the Provosts Office works with administrators faculty staff and students to improve and maintain undergraduate and professional curriculum. We collaborate with the campus community to support undergraduate learning experiences in alignment with the mission of the Office of the Provost and the University of Florida. To this end staff in the office support university curriculum and assessment committees and monitor undergraduate degree requirements to improve student persistence furthering the universitys preeminence goals and ultimately serving our students.
This position would be responsible for assisting the office clerical operations while also helping to maintain and develop new informational materials prepare agendas and materials for the monthly curriculum meetings and support the general office needs. We are looking for someone who is motivated has a strong work ethic displays initiative in new projects and is available during office hours (MondayFriday form 8am5pm).
Examples of Work (These are not all inclusive nor do they cover the full extent of the duties performed):
Curriculum Committee Agenda Preparation
Assist fulltime staff with preparation of University Curriculum Committee (UCC) Professional Curriculum Committee (PCC) and General Education Committee (GEC) agendas and materials
Assists in scheduling meetings
Takes notes during meetings and type minutes afterwards
Works with office staff to track approval system submissions prepares notebooks ahead of meetings etc.
Accreditation Assessment and Curriculum Assistance
Assist the Associate Provost for Accreditation Assessment and Curriculum with research of publicly available websites clerical work as assigned agenda preparation for Advisory Council for Undergraduate Affairs (ACUA) Agenda preparation for monthly staff meetings
General Office Duties
File/scan documents
Courier items around campus on an asneeded basis
Answer phones or staff front counter as needed
Degree Audit and System Maintenance
Assist fulltime staff with answering questions in Salesforce
Analysis of data at the request of office staff (may require FERPA and data confidentiality training)
$13.00 per hour
This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Federal WorkStudy (FWS) must maintain a 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a parttime basis up to 20 hours per week.
