Title: Assistant Athletic Trainer

The Athletic Trainer will provide quality health care primarily to their assigned sport but support other staff members with health care for all 400 studentathletes at Illinois State University. The Trainer will be responsible for all aspects of health care including but not limited to: practice coverage competition coverage treatment rehabilitation postinjury care injury prevention and facilitation of physician referrals. The sport assignment will be with Volleyball Football Gymnastics or Track & Field. The Athletic Trainer will serve as a Preceptor in the athletic training education program. Additional administrative duties will be assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.

1. Bachelors degree
2. State of Illinois Athletic Training license or Illinois Athletic Training license eligible
3. Eligible to be Board of Certification (BOC) exam certified prior to the start of employment.
1. Masters degree.
2. Board of Certification (BOC) certified.
3. 12 years of collegiate experience.
