As the Training Officer III you will be supervising and providing team support for Training Officer Is and staff to develop innovative learning and development activities (Instructorled classes elearning training aids) in the Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR). With a continuous improvement mindset you will also be responsible for assisting the Annual Training Plan Specialty Academies Field Training Evaluation Program and leadership development.

Supervises and provides professional development in instructional design to all staff who are assigned to development curriculum
Assists in the supervision of the research development pilot maintenance and evaluation of all curriculum (computer based elearning classroom and blended) for ADCRR
Researches writes edits designs and publishes training materials to include computer based training
Conducts formal and informal training needs assessments
Leads directs and monitors curriculum development projects and problem solves to ensure time frames/deadlines are met
Facilitates curriculum development meetings and other trainings as needed
Provides communications and networking Staff Development and Prison Operations
Travels to different institutions within assigned region/area of responsibility
Reviews newly developed curriculum for quality of content grammar instructional methodology etc. and present for final approval
Establishes and maintains a system for regular review of existing curriculum to update or retire lesion plans
Uses the Learning Management Systems to assign course number to approve curriculum
Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and drug test*.
