Job Description
Coffman Engineers is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of ten years of experience. The ideal candidate will be a selfmotivated team player looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic and progressive firm. The successful individual will work closely with our business development team and other discipline leads in developing technical proposals and will take a proactive role in marketing/business development. This role provides the opportunity to help build and mentor a dedicated team of engineering professionals within a collaborative multidiscipline office. This candidate will be working directly with clients providing consulting services.
The ideal candidate will have experience in providing engineering for a variety of projects involving HVAC systems plumbing systems and coordinating multifaceted projects. We are seeking innovative resultsoriented individuals who value high standards of performance and collaborative teamwork.
Qualifications :
Requirements Include:
- Bachelors degree (B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E. (required).
- 10 years of engineering work experience including:
- Designing HVAC and plumbing systems
- Managing and designing multiple concurrent projects
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings
- Leading design team efforts
- Managing project team for budget and schedule control
- Experience with Load Calculation Software
- Working knowledge of REVIT and CAD
- Developing fee and qualificationbased proposals
- Local AHJ experience and relationships is a plus
- Active local industry involvement is a plus
- Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical energy plumbing and ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards
- Reading and preparing project drawings including ductwork plans piping plans sections isometric piping drawings and bills of materials.
- Perform HVAC calculations and analysis using standard industry programs
- Energy modeling experience is a plus
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to lead interdisciplinary projects and project teams.
- Ability to travel periodically.
