Position Summary

CVS Media Exchange CMX is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for our suppliers merchants stores GMs brand advertisers and agencies. Our fullfunnel ad solutions leverage CVSs instore and online data extensive reach and to provide measurable results for our clientele. With a range of flexible pricing and buying models including selfservice; these solutions help businesses build brand awareness engage with CVS consumers and convert CVS consumers to shoppers.

CVS Healths Strategy and Partnership team is seeking an experienced Strategic Development Lead Director to help drive our CMX Strategy. The ideal candidate will be a strategic creative thinker with the ability to work crossfunctionally to develop scalable solutions for our partners and their teams. The

candidate will have experience working within a matrixed organization as well as experience in leading coaching and influencing people. Candidates must have strong consultative sales skills a collaborative and innovative spirit and be extremely comfortable dealing with ambiguity. We are looking for a high caliber experienced and motivated strategic development professional with experience building and/or executing strategic analyses critical to the longterm growth of CMX.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead CMX strategy development and deployment.
  • Own the CMX strategy framework and development.
  • Lead the of the monetization strategy through strategic partnerships with
    businesses developers tech platforms data aggregators advertising platforms and leading media publishers.
  • Ongoing development of our Pharma/Rx initiative to enable our partners to invest and measure their investment across the CMX platform.
  • Align strategy to deal flow by identifying potential strategic partners design creative commercial constructs lead complex negotiations and identify winwin scenarios/solutions and bring these partners to the stage.
  • Work closely and collaborate with product partnerships marketing PR legal and finance to build business cases that support the strategic plan.
  • Clevel and senior management exposure with partners is common.
  • Ultimately this strategy will improve the longterm overall value proposition for CVS Healths Monetization ecosystem by driving growth and value that we can leverage to monetize with our supplier and media partners.
  • Supporting CVS Health in attracting retaining and engaging a diverse and inclusive consumercentric workforce that delivers on our purpose and reflects the communities in which we work live and serve.

Location Travel up to 20 of the time including regular trips to Woonsocket RI. Ability to work Hybrid Model (in office Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday)

The candidate will have a strong work ethic be a selfstarter and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic collaborative environment. This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the companys business as well as significant interaction with all the business leaders.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in strategic partnerships or business development structuring and negotiating complex agreements including interpreting legal documents and work with attorneys to complete agreements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Collaboration and relationshipbuilding experience with the experience developing working relationships at all levels of management.
  • Experience defining developing and leading crossfunctional initiatives.
  • Experience working with Product to define product strategy and product requirements.
  • Experience negotiating complex agreements and finding winwin solutions.
  • Experience cocreating innovative new offerings in collaboration with partners.
  • High level of enthusiasm and innovation with experience to adapt easily to change and multitask.
  • Interpersonal skills and experience developing working relationships inside and outside CVS Health.
  • Experience in being creative resourceful detailoriented and highly organized.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity equity and inclusion through continuous development modeling inclusive behaviors and proactively managing bias.

Education
Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or related field or equivalent (HS Diploma and 4 years of experience) required

MBA preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100000.00 $231540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual fulltime salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience education geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus commission or shortterm incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the companys equity award program.
